ey up all! we have arrived safely in England. did a screening at the Bicycle Film Festival on Friday. lots of people signed our first of 10 letters (one for each screening) to the mayor Bloomberg of NYC calling for a STOP to the arrests. checkout the WCN international call to action. hung out with James from LABOFII, sold a bunch of DVDs. the next day we checked out a bit of london and went to meet brian haw - the anti-war protester whos been camped out on parliament lawn for four years! on monday, we got the megabus up from london to nottingham and were met by wonderful friends ange and max. we have been working on finishingthe german subtitles for a special edition of DVDs to take to berlin later this month for 4 screenings.... but first off to sheffield and manchester. last night we had dinner at a squat here in nottingham that has just been cracked a couple weeks back. the space is really amazing, they have 'open days' once a week, and have plans to open a community internet/media space in the basement. i was inspired... had a lot of good conversation. met a bike tourist from calgary, ca. and got some more contacts for our stop off in amsterdam next week. i'll try to keep posting as the month goes on . signing the letter to Bloomberg at the Cochrane Theatre in London after the show on Friday
